Thousands of Water cups to hydrate runners for the Honolulu Marathon

Honolulu MARATHON

It’s that time of the year for the Honolulu Marathon!  HRPS will be manning Water Station #2 located in front of the Ilikai Hotel.

Please read the information below. It gives you a description of what happens at an Aid Station.

If you would like to volunteer, please RSVP to hrps@hawaiirecreationparksociety.com.  The more the merrier!

What: Honolulu Marathon Aid Station (Ilikai Hotel)

When: Sunday, December 8, 2019

Time: 2:00am (set up) – 8:00 am or earlier

What we do: 

  • Fill cups of water for the runners.
  • Pass out cups to runners.
  • CHEER AND ENCOURAGE THEM ON!
  •  Clean up area and break down station, then pau.

 What to bring: 

  • Wear shoes or slippers
  • Light jacket if chilly/raining, small bag you can wear (nowhere to put down safely).
  • Headlamp (preferred) or small flashlight so you can see what you’re doing!
  • Handheld pitchers to pour water into cups.  Please label so we can get it back to you!
  • Rake and dustpan to clean up the fallen cups.

​​​​​​Freebies: Honolulu Marathon shirt (you will have to wear during event) and a cap.

Perks: See FREEBIES! Ono snacks to keep us going. *Will need shirt size.  Hotel restrooms at Ilikai Hotel.  Invitation to the HRPS Mahalo Dinner and Trolley Ride (12/18/19)

Other:  Will need a contact number so we can stay in touch with volunteers leading up to the run (confirm still volunteering). 

Parking: 

For Ilikai Aid Station - Behind hotel.  Will need to pay at meter and place receipt on dash.

HAPALUA HALF-MARATHON

APRIL 14, 2019


It’s that time of the year for the Hapalua Half-Marathon! We will be manning two(2) Aid Stations this year. First location is in front of the Ilikai (same as HNL Marathon) and at the Convention Center.

Please read the information below. It gives you a description of what happens at an Aid Station.

If you would like to volunteer, please RSVP to hawaiirecreationparksociety.com.  The more the merrier!

What: Hapalua Half-Marathon Aid Stations (Ilikai Hotel and Hawaii Convention Center)

When: Sunday, April 14

Time: 4:00 set up – 9:00 am or earlier. Race starts at 6 am.

What we do: 

  • Fill cups of water and Gatorade for the runners.
  • Pass out cups to runners.
  • CHEER AND ENCOURAGE THEM ON!
  •  Clean up area and break down station, then pau.

 What to bring: 

  • Wear shoes or slippers
  • Light jacket if chilly/raining, small bag you can wear (nowhere to put down safely).
